EnergyTech Nexus Scaleup to Houston Program is a business acceleration initiative aimed at helping international companies scale their operations into the U.S. market through Houston, a global hub for energy innovation. This program is designed to provide comprehensive business development support for high-growth, technology-enabled companies looking to enter and expand in the U.S. market.

Eligibility and Duration
Scaleup to Houston is open to companies that demonstrate readiness to scale, with a particular focus in the energy, cleantech, and sustainability sectors. Participants will receive direct access to Houston’s vast network of industry leaders, investors, and corporate partners, positioning them for long-term success in the region. The Program runs for 1 year, and is offered in a hybrid format, blending virtual sessions with key in-market events in Houston. Participants are expected to engage with the Houston ecosystem both virtually and in-person as needed to drive progress in their U.S. market entry efforts.

Accelerated Market Entry – Provide strategic support to help companies quickly penetrate the U.S. energy market.
High-Value Network Access – Facilitate introductions to potential customers, partners, and investors in the Houston energy and cleantech sectors.
Business Development Support – Help companies refine their go-to-market strategies and secure procurement opportunities.
Sustainable Market Presence – Assist companies in establishing a long-term footprint in the Houston market, including setting up a local office, building partnerships, access local city benefits etc.

In partnership with techNL, ETN supported the Scale-Up Hub Houston Program, helping 9 Atlantic Canada-based energy and clean tech companies expand into Houston’s strategic energy market. The program, led by techNL and supported by the Government of Canada and Atlantic provincial governments, focused on scaling high-growth companies through targeted market access.ETN Facilitated 64 one-on-one meetings with key stakeholders for 9 Atlantic Canada-based energy and clean tech companies , including Shell, Aramco, and Global Affairs Canada.
- Organized two high-impact events in Houston, including B2B meetings and VC pitch sessions.
- Provided key connections to energy stakeholders, driving opportunities for partnerships and procurement.
The program enabled over 100 valuable interactions, driving partnerships, market access, and growth opportunities. This collaboration highlights ETN’s commitment to fostering innovation and supporting clean tech growth.
